TGM comprises a network of seasoned professionals with experience spanning various sectors, including engineering, manufacturing, facilities management, materials handling, electronics, water-related services and packaging.
Members of the TGM network possess expertise across a wide range of functional fields, including operations, finance, accounting, law, corporate governance, sales & marketing and change management.
While the TGM network comprises a number of individuals (with further details below on each), a maximum three members of the network are involved in any particular acquisition opportunity based upon the nature and location of the business.
Jon is one of the two founding partners of TGM. Jon has worked in multiple functions and locations over thirty years, has a finance background and strong operational experience.
Working for British Aerospace and Pall Corporation (Danaher), Jon worked in a series of functions culminating in the Group Finance Officer of the Pall Corporation’s Life Sciences division ($ 1.6 billion). In addition to running all aspects of finance functions, Jon has also experience in operations, with experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma. In his GFO role Jon was instrumental in dozens of acquisitions in multiple countries including post-acquisition integration. Since leaving corporate life, Jon has successfully acquired 12 companies over the past two years.
As a TGM partner, Jon brings his financial and operations skill set to the SME sector. Jon has been a qualified Chartered Management Accountant for over 25 years.
Eric is one of the two founding partners of TGM. Having worked for two decades as a lawyer involved in M&A, financing and private investment transactions across various sectors, Eric is responsible in particular for legal, regulatory and governance matters at TGM and its portfolio companies.
While working at the international law firm, Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, Eric represented a wide range of clients, including Texas Pacific Group (TPG), Goldman Sachs and Exxon Mobil. Prior to co-founding TGM, Eric was the International Chief Administrative Officer at Tradeweb, a FinTech firm that went public in 2019 for in excess of US$1 billion. As a TGM partner, Eric brings this expertise and skill set to the SME sector.
Eric is a dual US/UK citizen and holds degrees from Brown University, Princeton University and New York University (NYU) School of Law.
Chad has worked in the manufacturing sector for over 25 years, with roles throughout the period at board-level, setting out strategic visions, identifying and articulating opportunities in new markets and regions, and establishing and implementing strategies to realise growth ambitions.
Chad has led businesses in North America, the UK, and Europe, with extensive experience across all business functions, including sales, marketing, finance, accounting, business forecasting and planning, human resources. His strong knowledge of technology supports the change lifecycles he spearheads and his introduction of innovative new systems automating core processes, thereby enhancing reporting systems from the shop floor to the board room.
Chad’s specific roles have included Vice President of Estran Corporation and European MD of Baileigh Industrial.
A dual, US-UK citizen, Chad was born in in the U.S.A. and has lived in the United Kingdom since 2006. He holds a Business Administration degree focused on Finance/Accounting from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay. Chad is fluent in German.
Following a short period of service in the Royal Navy Submarine Service, Tim joined the Financial Services/Insurance industry where his roles included business development for Standard Life and Cornhill. He subsequently became an Independent Financial Adviser, working with Johnson Fry, before forming his own IFA practice with a business partner.
Tim subsequently joined the family SME business, which was a small garage business based in rural Exmoor that had been servicing the needs of the community for 80 years. Under Tim’s leadership and through the acquisition of many of its competitors, Webberbus grew to become one of the largest privately-owned bus and coach operators within the South West peninsula, operating many commercial bus services and local authority contracts across the region, turning over circa £10m and employing a workforce of 150.
Tim has also held several Non-Executive Director posts as well as Chaired and represented a number of Sector Interest Groups both locally and nationally.
Tim Brooksbank is an experienced SME director with technical, business, commercial, product development, market development, manufacturing, procurement and facilities management experience.
He has nearly 30 years’ experience running SMEs in the technology/digital sector and has served as Chairman and/or CEO in image processing, electronic display and aerospace/in-flight entertainment equipment sectors. He also has experience in the medical technology sector having worked on surgical medical imaging projects technically and commercially. He has also worked as a divisional MD for an international plc gaining experience of working within a larger organisation.
Tim’s knowledge and wide range of business experience includes international trade, vendor management, facilities management, fundraising, preparation for sale, acquisition and disposal of businesses. His technical experience includes R&D planning, R&D strategy, R&D management, participation in R&D.
Tim trained as an electronic engineer but has also studied business and has an understanding of economics, management accountancy and finance as well as sales & marketing and business strategy. This unusual skill-set enables him to approach problemsand solutions from a wide range of viewpoints.
Paul has held a variety of senior roles over the last 30 years across a range of diverse industries including Automotive; Engineering; FMCG; Polymers; Recycling; Textiles and Clothing.
Paul has gained experience with SME’s as well as large corporate FTSE businesses, supporting these organisations with turnaround and growth strategies. He has also held roles in the Charity and Education sectors.
He has worked with many organisations helping them enhance performance through a range of strategies including integrating multiple operations; buying into new processes and products; and developing existing ventures.
A qualified accountant with extensive financial background–MBA (Heriot Watt)–and practical hands-on understanding of business dynamics, Paul is capable of supporting businesses through a holistic approach to problem solving that delivers major business returns.
